OUR TEAM
JOSH PERRY
After a long and successful career in the NRL, Josh Perry made the seamless transition to Owner and Director of ByronBuilt. Josh completed his apprenticeship in 2001 and recognised early on that he had a passion for people, unique projects and fostering a family culture within a team.
Whether he is hands on building with the boys onsite or helping potential clients to visualise their new ByronBuilt home, Josh’s dedicated approach is clearly evident. When asked, Josh says he brings good looks and a can do attitude to the team, and spends his spare time on a lawn mower or tending to his herd of llamas!
Damien McIntosh
Our main man Damo is the core of Byron Built. Damo has strong work ethics and is our most valuable asset with his sound knowledge and 17 years carpentry background. Damo uses his leadership and people management skills to efficiently supervise all projects from the start to finish. Damoās knack for problem solving together with his endless energy makes him a great Project Manager and he always seems to be the favourite with our clients.
Damo spends his weekends with his beach-obsessed family, and if heās not by the ocean youāll find him on his Bexhill Farm, digging, building, mowing.. and so on.
Sanna Hjort
Sanna completed her degree in B.S.c of Building Design in Sweden in 2012 and then moved across the seven seas to fullfill a long time dream (i.e living in tropical paradise and surfing all year round) and finished a Diploma of Interior design in 2016. She has since worked as an Interior Architect and Stylist in the Northern Rivers. Sanna says the best part of her job at Byron Built is leading projects from brief, guiding clients during the design process and helping to create stylish, sustainable and functional homes.
Sanna is quirky, kind and dynamic, she is happiest in the ocean and her superpower is keeping the boys in line and on schedule! We are lucky to have her in the team!
Adam OāBrien
Adam is the man on the ground who physically makes your vision come to life. We hit the apprentice jackpot when Adam started working for Byron Built back in 2020 and he has grown into our strongest (on all levels) carpenter with a great understanding of craftsmanship and problem solving. He displays a keen eye for detail, takes on all the heavy lifting, (thanks to the countless hours he spend in the gym!) and his mates describe him as āan all round great blokeā.
We couldnāt agree more. Adam shows maturity beyond his years and we canāt wait to see what the future holds for him at Byron Built.
